Man stopped by police found with $4,000 worth of pot

By From staff reports

Ravenswood Police officers stopped a Jackson County man for a defective muffler as he traveled along Route 68 and then found a pound of marijuana in his vehicle with a street value of $4,000.

When officers stopped the vehicle on Wednesday, they noted the driver seemed anxious and police then obtained permission to search the car, said Ravenswood Police Chief Lance B. Morrison.

They found a pound of marijuana with a street value of nearly $4,000 in the trunk of the Dodge Neon, Morrison said.

Noah Albert Evans Sr., 51, of Delbarton was arrested for possession with intent to deliver, he said.
