WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. (AP) - The Greenbrier County Sheriff's Department is investigating the drowning of a man at the Blue Bend Recreation Area.
The sheriff's department tells media outlets that a U.S. Forest Service worker found Thomas Michael Richter's wallet and other personal items on Thursday and called 911.
Storms prevented a search on Thursday. Divers found the 53-year-old White Sulphur Springs man's body Friday morning.
The body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office in Charleston for an autopsy.
Police say foul play isn't suspected.
