The case of a Scott Depot man who is accused of attacking an off-duty cop and running off with his gun three years ago has been postponed again.
Travis Eugene Lattea, 32, was arrested after South Charleston police officer Matt Holley was knocked unconscious in the bathroom at Quaker Steak and Lube. Lattea then fled with the officers' gun, wallet and badge, according to police.
That incident occurred on March 23, 2010. He was indicted by a grand jury a month later on a charge of first-degree robbery. He pleaded not guilty to that charge.
His trial has been postponed numerous times. His attorney, Ed Rebrook, asked the Kanawha Circuit Judge Paul Zakaib for another continuance Monday.The judge agreed to a new trial date of Oct. 28.
