No injuries after train, trailer crash
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - No one was injured Tuesday when a CSX train collided with the trailer of a Central Van Lines truck near Hurricane High School in Putnam County.
Debris was scattered around the scene and those involved were left shaken following the incident, which occurred about 5:15 p.m.
Larry Davis, a worker with Central Van Lines, said he and another laborer had just finished unloading the truck and were on their way back to Charleston when the train plowed into the bed, shearing it in half.
"We never heard a whistle. We never heard nothing," Davis said. Hurricane police are investigating.
