CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Several people were reported injured after a vehicle crashed into a Mexican restaurant in South Charleston, dispatchers said.
Kanawha Metro 911 dispatchers said a vehicle crashed into Los Agaves restaurant on Third Avenue. It happened just before 8 p.m.
The caller told dispatchers that several people were injured. Dispatchers said eight people suffered minor injuries. No one had been transported.
The vehicle appeared to have been backed through a mariachi band cutout painting and a wall near the restaurant's entrance, leaving a van-sized hole and broken tables and chairs in its wake. No one was trapped.
South Charleston firefighters and police were at the scene.
