An investigation of a string of recent break-ins has resulted in an arrest.
Nicholas Jackson, 46, of Charleston was charged with breaking and entering after police went to his East End home to serve a search warrant, said Sgt. Tony Hazelett of the Charleston Police Department. The arrest came out of an investigation of several neighborhood break-ins.
A search of Jackson's home turned up numerous stolen items, which police believe were taken in recent thefts and breakins, Hazelett said.
Jackson was in the South Central Regional Jail on Friday, with bail set at $2,500.
