CHARLESTON, W.Va. - A federal grand jury sitting in Charleston indicted a Wood County man accused of looking at child pornography on a public library computer.
The single-count indictment charging Matthew John Wiggins, 40, of Parkersburg, with access with intent to view child porn was handed down Tuesday, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin said in a statement.
Wiggins allegedly viewed child porn on a computer inside the Parkersburg and Wood County Public Library on Jan. 17.
He faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years and up to 20 years in federal prison if convicted. He has a previous conviction for possession of child porn.The West Virginia Internet Crimes Against children Task Force and the Parkersburg Police Department investigated. Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa Johnston will handle prosecution.
