CSX investigates derailment in southern W.Va.
SANDSTONE, W.Va. -- CSX is investigating the derailment of a freight train in southern West Virginia.
CSX spokesman Bob Sullivan tells The Register-Herald (http://bit.ly/18mQDRX ) that the 100-car train was traveling from Hinton to Newport News, Va., when 20 cars derailed in Sandstone. The cars were loaded with coal.
The derailment occurred Monday. Sullivan says no injuries were reported.
