"We didn't even know about this party," Jones said.
Jones was also quick to point out that though the party at Timothy's Bar used Multifest's name, the party had no connection whatsoever to the festival, which starts tonight.
"They had nothing to do with this" he said. "We're very happy with Multifest. They should not be tainted by this activity."
Jones didn't know if there would be any ramifications for the bar itself, but did say the bar owners exercised poor judgment by allowing the event to take place.
"You're responsible for what goes on in your bar," he said.
Similar "Pre-Multifest" parties have happened in past years, including one at the Impulse nightclub last year. The parties have never been part of the actual Multifest.
Cooper said that Foster had drugs on him inside the bar and may face drug charges when he's released from the hospital. He added that while a suspect hadn't been identified, Friday's shooting may be a retaliation for a shooting earlier this year.
