Nitro police responded to a stabbing reported just before 2 a.m. Tuesday at 111 Lock St., a Kanawha County dispatcher said.
Officers learned that the incident occurred during a small party, said Patrolman H.R. Blake II of the Nitro Police Department. Officers were told that two men had a disagreement and were fighting.
Marshall Sanders, 24, of Nitro was stabbed twice and was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life threatening, Blake said.Samuel Scott Miller, 22, of Huntington was treated and released from General Hospital, he said. Miller was then arrested and taken to Kanawha County Magistrate Court to be arraigned on a charge of malicious wounding.
