One man was arrested and another taken to an area hospital following an altercation on Charleston's West Side on Tuesday night, authorities said.
The incident took place at a bus stop at the corner of Tennessee Avenue and Randolph Street about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Tony Hazelett, assistant chief of detectives for the Charleston Police Department.
Timothy Robinson, 51, of Charleston, approached Thomas Striker, 22, of Rand due to an altercation that occurred earlier in the day that involved Striker's brother, Hazelett said.
Striker suffered a cut across his throat and was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital where he is in stable condition, Hazelett said.Robinson, who was charged with malicious wounding, is lodged in South Central Regional Jail with bond set at $25,000.
