CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Two men, including one from Kentucky, were arrested after allegedly abducting and raping a 14-year-old Taylor County girl at a home in Fairmont.
Lewis Kelly Dailey, 22, of Ratliff, Ky., and Jamey Glen Dodrill, 27, of Fairmont were arrested Tuesday.
The arrest came after authorities spoke with a 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing Sunday. A silver alert had been issued for her because she has a mental disability. The search was cancelled Tuesday after the teen walked into the Harrison County Sheriff's Department, Sgt. Michael Baylous, State Police spokesman said.
During the search, State Police Cpl. S.D. Swiger working with Capt. Randy Durrett of the Taylor County Sheriff's Department among other law enforcement agencies including the FBI, developed other leads in the girl's disappearance.
The investigation revealed that she agreed to meet Dailey after having multiple cellphone and online conversations with him.
Dailey knew how old the girl was but made arrangements to meet with her in Taylor County, according to a criminal complaint filed in Marion County. He met the girl in the parking lot of Quality Machine on Sunday in Taylor County. He then drove her to a house on Holbert Road in Fairmont.
It was there that he had sex with her in the living room of the house, the complaint said. She told troopers she smoked a partial bowl of marijuana that night and that she had been driven "all over the place."
She said they returned to the Fairmont house on Monday and was forced to have sex with Dailey in a bedroom. She told troopers he bit her and pulled her hair, the complaint said. She said she didn't want to have sex with him but feared he would hurt her if she didn't.
Another man assaulted her Tuesday morning. She said Dodrill forced her to the floor and had sex with her as Dailey watched, according to the complaint.
