A Charleston man pleaded guilty to taking part in a West Side home invasion last year.
Ibu Payton, 24, pleaded guilty to consipiracy to commit first-degree robbery at a home on Somerset Drive in April 2012. Prosecutors said Payton, along with Thomas Fields and Dylan Lowe, were charged in the robbery of Joshua Crane.
All await sentencing. Payton waived a grand jury indictment and cooperated with prosecutors. He could be sentenced to up to five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.Prosecutors said Payton threatened Crane with a gun.
