Police say driver ran red light at St. Albans intersection
Authorities say a Roane County woman who apparently ran a red light and crashed into a St. Albans couple's Dodge muscle car suffered injuries.
Larry and Patsy Harrison were turning left from Walnut Street onto U.S. 60 in St. Albans just after 9 a.m. Sunday when their Dodge Challenger was struck by Amanda Johnson's Toyota Avalon, St. Albans Patrolman Phil Bass said.
Johnson, of Walton in Roane County, apparently ran a red light at the intersection and tore the front end off of the Challenger, the patrolman said. The crash caused damage to the passenger side of her vehicle as well.
Johnson suffered minor injuries and was taken to Thomas Memorial Hospital. The Harrisons weren't injured.
The crash remains under investigation. It wasn't immediately clear if any charges would be filed.
