A Rand man on home confinement was arrested after deputies found drugs on him during a home visit.
Kanawha Sheriff's home confinement officers on Monday conducted a random home visit on Dario Martin, 23, in Rand.
Martin was serving home confinement as a condition of his bond while he awaits trial on charges of armed robbery and possession with intent to deliver, Kanawha Sheriff's spokesman Cpl. Brian Humphreys said. His trial is set for Oct. 21 before Kanawha Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
Officers searched Martin when they entered the home and found a wrapped plastic bag containing heroin and roxicodone, Humphreys said. Martin also had a significant amount of cash on him.
Deputies responded to the house and arrested Martin. He was charged with possession with intent to deliver.
He is being held at South Central Regional Jail without bond.
