Four Boone County men were found operating an active meth lab in a Racine home, authorities said.
Danny Ray Griffy, 48, Cecil Ray Davis, 45, Terry L. Davis, 20, and Brandon Mollett, 25, were arrested Wednesday.
Boone deputies went to a home on Vista Drive in Racine early Wednesday to investigate after receiving information that meth was being cooked inside, Chief Deputy Chad Barker said in an email. When deputies arrived, the men were cooking meth in two containers inside the home.
Griffy and Davis were arrested in the home, but Mollett was able to flee. Deputies caught up with him later Wednesday.
The men were charged with operating a meth lab and conspiracy. They are being held at Southwestern Regional Jail on $100,000 bond each.
Sheriff Randall White said the arrest would not have been possible without help from the public and that the department appreciates their concern.
Barker said the house has been a "problem area" for several years and that Wednesday's arrests were not the first time officers had been to the house.
