CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An early morning fire at 31 Arlington Ave. in Charleston led to one arrest and the discovery of materials that could possibly be used for making methamphetamine, said Lt. C.E. Sisson of the Charleston Police Department.
Charleston firefighters responded to the blaze at 1:30 a.m. Monday, he said. As firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, materials were discovered that could possibly be used for making meth. These materials are not believed to have caused the fire that may be electrical in nature, Sisson said.
Daniel Peck, 38, of Tornado was arrested on a charge of obstructing, Sisson said. Peck is lodged in South Central Regional Jail.Metropolitan Drug Enforcement Network Team is investigating.
