Poca High given 'all clear' after morning bomb threat

Poca High School was evacuated at 10:15 a.m. Thursday due to a bomb threat, said Putnam County Sheriff Steve Deweese.

Officers from Putnam County Sheriff's Department responded to the scene. The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department assisted with K9 trained bomb dogs, he said. An "all clear" was given about 11:40 a.m. when students were released for lunch and completion of the school day, he said. The incident remains under investigation.
