Deputies have released the name of one person accused in a brutal beating in Fayette County.
A warrant was issued Wednesday for the arrest of Jackie Rae Humphrey, 31, of Minden. The warrant charges Humphrey with first-degree robbery in relation to an incident that occurred Oct. 12, according to a statement by the Fayette Sheriff's Department.
Fayette deputies were dispatched late Oct. 12 to a Deep Water Mountain Road home in the North Page area to investigate after a robbery was reported. When they arrived they found that Donald Walker had been attacked in his home.
Walker told deputies a woman he knew, later identified as Humphrey, came to his door and asked to speak with him privately. It was then that two men, neither of whom have been identified, forced their way inside.
The men beat him with wooden clubs and demanded cash. Humphrey and the men left the house with cash and Walker's Chevrolet Colorado. Walker's pickup was found in Page on Sunday.
Humphrey was last seen driving the pickup, while her accomplices fled in a silver Dodge Neon.
Detectives are familiar with Humphrey, who has a lengthy criminal history, Sheriff Steve Kessler said in the statement.
Deputies have identified the men, but are not releasing their names until warrants are secured for their arrest.Anyone with information can contact the Fayette County 911 Center at 304-574-3590 or Crime Stoppers at 304-255-7867.
