Warrants have been obtained for the arrest of two people on charges of operating a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory, according to a news release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.
Warrants were obtained for Gregory William Young, 31, Maria Rosalyn Young, 28, who were both residents of an apartment in Rand where a fire began. As a result of the fire, the building was condemned.
The fire occurred on Monday at 5802 Starling Drive. Occupants of apartment number four were taken to an area hospital for treatment of injuries sustained during the fire. Experts with the state Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire originated in apartment four and was caused by a clandestine meth lab.A deputy obtained a search warrant and trained technicians collected evidence at the scene for further investigation.
