Authorities are investigating after a man turned up at a Charleston hospital with a stab wound.
The man, who was not immediately identified, arrived at Charleston Area Medical Center's Women and Children's Hospital just before 3:30 p.m. Sunday, according to Kanawha Metro 911 dispatchers.
Emergency operators did not know the severity of the wound. They were told the stabbing took place in the Dunbar area but were unclear as to whether it occurred inside or outside of city limits.
Dispatchers said a woman believed to be connected to the incident was trying to get into the emergency room Sunday afternoon but that she was being kept out for an unknown reason.
The man was transferred to CAMC General.
