Two men pleaded guilty Monday in connection with the shooting death of a Charleston resident last year.
Jarod Edward Washington and Daniel O'Keith Little, both 29, each pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and first-degree robbery with a firearm. They admitted they robbed and killed Roy Chambliss of 403 Piccadilly Street on Sept. 10, 2012.
Also injured in that incident was Natalie Sprouse, 20, who was shot in the arm.
Police said Little and Washington went to the residence a few days earlier hoping to sell guns to the couple but they didn't have money. When they returned, the shooting occurred.
Prosecutors agreed to drop some other charges against Little and Washington, and recommended concurrent 40 and 45-year sentences for Little and two 40-year concurrent sentences for Washington.Kanawha Circuit Judge Charles King immediately sentenced both men according to the plea agreement.
