CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Gary Lacy, 35, of Bluebell Drive pleaded guilty to wanton endangerment and will be sentenced in December by Kanawha Circuit Judge Carrie Webster.
In February, Lacy was arrested after the domestic incident that began at the Cross Lanes Kroger. Police said he had asked his wife to meet him there so he could tell his children he loved them.
Instead, the couple got into a dispute and Lacy shot a gun near his family in the parking lot of the store on Big Tyler Road, which is directly across the street from Andrew Jackson Middle School. Afterwards, Lacy fled and threw the gun in the vicinity of Point Harmony Elementary School.Lacy had just been served with a protective order before the incident. Police recovered the handgun on the road near the school.
