CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- St. Albans Police responded to a reported stabbing in the 2700 block of Forrestal Avenue on Monday night, authorities said.
Douglas Wilson, 57, was transported to Charleston Area Medical Center's General Hospital for treatment for a punctured lung, said Capt. James Agee of the St. Albans Police Department.
The victim identified Jameson Edwards as his attacker, Agee said.
Edwards, 26, of St. Albans had already been located a block away from the scene with blood on his face and taken to the St. Albans Police Department for processing, Agee said.
The incident was not random and the two knew each other, he said. The investigation is continuing and charges will be forthcoming, Agee said. The victim is expected to recover.
Patrolman Daniel Wyatt made the arrest and is the investigating officer.
