CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Williamson man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child and videotaping the abuse.
Thirty-three-year-old Paul Silas Jenkins was sentenced Wednesday in federal court in Charleston.
Jenkins pleaded guilty in August to producing child pornography.
According to court records, Jenkins performed sex acts with a child between the age of 12 and 16 and recorded a video of the acts. The video was copied onto a DVD, which was found inside a rented laptop that Jenkins returned to a business in Pike County, Ky.
Judge John T. Copenhaver Jr. ordered Jenkins to serve his sentence concurrently with a state conviction for the second-degree sexual assault of two other children.
