Tip leads authorities to meth lab near Quincy
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- An anonymous tip led authorities to an area where methamphetamine was being made in a wooded area along Quincy Hollow Road, said Cpl. Brian Humphreys of the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office.
On Wednesday, a so-called shake-and-bake lab was located in the woods and the finished product was found on Alton Douglas Mullins, 34, of Quincy, he said.
Mullins faces a felony charge of operating a clandestine laboratory. He is being held in South Central Regional Jail with bond set at $25,000.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Offices encourages citizens to submit information on the operators, locations and methods of meth labs, Humphreys said. Anonymous tips may be submitted online at www.kanawhasheriff.us or by calling 304-357-4693.
