Deputies are investigating after stolen checks were used in Kanawha County.
Jackson sheriff's deputies last month began investigating stolen checks, which they later determined had been used in Kanawha County. Detectives with the Kanawha Bureau of Investigation then joined the case, said Cpl. Brian Humphreys, Kanawha Sheriff's Department spokesman.
A stolen check was used at the 7-Eleven store in Elkview. Deputies released photos from surveillance cameras in the store.
The two male suspects were last seen in a two-tone, older model Ford F-150. One wore a blue coat with a red hat while the other wore a blue WVU sweatshirt with a camouflage coat.
Anyone with information on the stolen checks or the suspects can contact the Kanawha Sheriff's Department at 304-357-0169 or the Jackson Sheriff's Department at 304-373-2290.
