Man on probation cuts off ankle bracelet, escapes supervision
Authorities are searching for a man who escaped supervision and is considered dangerous, said Sgt. Michael Baylous, spokesman for the West Virginia State Police.
Kelly Gerald Crosby, 31, was last seen at the Harvest Pine Homeless Shelter, 1704 Washington St. W. in Charleston, at 1 p.m. Dec. 4.
Crosby had been wearing a GPS unit for the crime of the use of minors in filming sexually explicit conduct, Baylous said.
The Logan County Probation Office contacted the Logan County Sheriff's Office regarding Crosby who managed to cut off his GPS unit. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact a local law enforcement agency.
