Chesapeake homeowner says two men broke in, demanded cash
Authorities are searching for two masked men who broke into a home on Monday morning, said Chesapeake Police Chief Jack Ice.
The incident was reported at 7 a.m. Monday when resident Mark Luchkiw said two men entered his Chesapeake home by breaking a window and then demanded cash, Ice said. He told authorities that his wife and teenage daughter who were at home at the time managed to call for help while he distracted the intruders.
While details of the incident were not clear, the two men fled the scene and nothing was taken, Ice said.
The intruders said a few words during the incident and the family believes the voices were familiar, Ice said.
Police do have some suspects in the case.
