CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- Charges are pending after a Gassaway man crashed his car and fled naked from the scene.
The accident happened Monday night when Jimmy Miller, of Gassaway, lost control of his vehicle just south of his hometown.
He crashed into a tree and he and a female passenger fled the scene.
Witnesses saw Miller leave the scene "butt-naked," said Lt. Bryce Scarbro with the Braxton County Sheriff's office.
Scarbro said police used a thermal imaging camera and found Miller in the woods. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, Scarbro said.
Scarbro said police think alcohol and drugs may have been a factor in the crash but that has not yet been determined.
Miller was taken to the hospital for injuries and charges still are pending in this case. His passenger is not being charged.
