CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A 90-year-old man, identified as George Molle Jr., was found slain in his Kanawha City home, Charleston Police said Saturday afternoon.
A concerned neighbor called police Saturday morning because that she hadn't seen the man.
Lt. Steve Cooper, chief of detectives, said Molle is believed to have been killed sometime Friday.
Molle was found in his home on the 4900 block of MacCorkle Avenue. Cooper said the homicide is myserious and uncommon for the area in which Molle lived.
Police did not release details on the murder, but said they have ordered an autopsy and will continue to investigate Molle's death.
