CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- A Wayne County convicted felon will spend the next two years in federal prison after allegedly possessing a firearm in Lincoln County.
U.S. District Judge John Copenhaver sentenced Keith Brian Clark, 47, of East Lynn on Wednesday. Clark pleaded guilty in October 2013 to being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to a statement issued by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin's office.
Clark illegally possessed a 9-millimeter pistol near Harts in Lincoln County on June 18, 2012. He was convicted of second-degree robbery in Wayne Circuit Court in August 2004. His rights to possess a firearm had not yet been restored when he was arrested in June.
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated the case while Assistant U.S. Attorney Haley Bunn handled the prosecution.
