A Raleigh County man will spend the next four years in federal prison after stealing a high-powered rifle from a home near White Oak.
U.S. District Judge Irene Berger sentenced Cameron Martin Taylor, 25, of Shady Spring, to four years and nine months in federal prison Wednesday. Taylor pleaded guilty in September to stealing a firearm, according to a statement by U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin.
Taylor stole an Armalite model AR-50 50-caliber rifle from a home near White Oak in April, the statement said.State Police investigated the theft. Assistant U.S. Attorney John File handled prosecution.
