MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia teenager is due in court for a hearing in the 2012 stabbing death of her one-time best friend.
Shelia Eddy's hearing Friday comes less than a week before her trial is scheduled to start in Monongalia County Circuit Court.
The 18-year-old Morgantown resident pleaded not guilty at her arraignment in September to one count each of first-degree murder and kidnapping, and two counts of conspiracy.
Star City teen Skylar Neese was lured out of her house in July 2012, stabbed to death and hidden under some branches in woods just across the Pennsylvania border.
Prosecutors say Eddy and friend Rachel Shoaf plotted the murder, though the motive has never been revealed.
Shoaf pleaded guilty last May to second-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing.
