Three Williamson residents accused in connection to a Charleston bank robbery will go to trial in April.
Stephen Spires, 61, and his accused accomplices Bernice White, 61 and Sandra Mullins, 39, appeared in Kanawha County Circuit Court for a Tuesday arraignment hearing.
Each entered not guilty pleas for their charges of conspiracy to commit bank robbery and bank robbery. Their trial is set for April 28.
According to previous reports, police said last October, Spires entered a Chase Bank on Washington Street East, gave a note to the teller demanding money and said he had a weapon.State Police stopped a Honda sedan an hour later in Chapmanville, where they found Spires, Mullins and White. Officers also found cash and fake guns, previous reports state.
